No, Josh, it is not a good argument. As the men there were ONLY there to try and trick Jesus, they knew they had been beaten.

According to the law, what would have been required?

Where was the man?

Who walked away first and why did they walk away??

Why did Jesus tell the woman to leave her life of sin?

There may be some reasons in the Bible that capital punishment can be done away with, this is not one of them, IMO.
