However, when the average CEO's salary has risen over the past decade from roughly 70X what the average Joe in the plant makes to roughly 500X what the average Joe in the plant makes, then, at least to me, that's reason to ask some hard and probing questions. Re: "I assume someone is honest until they show otherwise. You seem to do the opposite": I've seen, firsthand, far too much unethical stuff from the corporate types at my place of employment ... and I don't work for a bad company. I can only grit my teeth at what must be occurring elsewhere.
