I had read it when it came out. (I make a point to read all of Hitchens essays.) I felt at the time that it was an attack on Amis, and did not pick up the fact that Amis had mentioned Hitchens in his book. After rereading it, I have not changed my opinion. Hitchens is a great writer, but some of this stuff is so left I am turned off.
