Certainly GWB is a big example of connections creating opportunity. In George W. Bush's case there is something more. There is some sort of mystical Teutonic passing of the torch phenomina that George H.W. Bush learned from his dad. It seems to be part of the Nazi mumbo-jumbo about Junior keeping the name and image of Senior alive. They probably try to pass it along in Skull & Bones. I don't think Junior fully bought or even understood the destiny thing. He doesn't have the capacity to understand great crackpot plots. He's just glad that things are going his way and wants to settle the chip on his shoulder for all the people who thought he wouldn't get this far. The current Father/Son tiff results from Father setting Junior in the perfect privledged slot, and Junior not even understanding what the game is. There is a combination of frustration and anger between the two . TP
