Released in 1984, "From Time Immemorial" had gone through 8 printings by the end of the year. Joan Peters had 250 speaking engagements scheduled. Essentially every journal of record in this country had praised the book, including NY Times, Washington Post, LA Times, National Review, Atlantic, The New Republic, Commentary. Only 3 out of 200 notices were critical (Journal of Palestine Studies, In These Times, and The Nation). Bear in mind that this is a book on a par with Holocaust denial literature. Interestingly, the Israeli press heaped scorn on the book, comparing it to Israeli government propaganda from the 1950s. The Israeli weekly Koteret Rashit published a detailed expose of the coverup by the US media. Tom
