Charters who wrote (508 ) 8/29/2002 3:06:24 AM From: marcos Respond to My Lai was no aberration, it was business as usual, what was different about it was that a few men of some honour talked ... check out the whole story of Operation Phoenix sometime, it was only one of many many operations against people who just wanted their own goddamn country and not be colonised by anybody including the US and the fr.no predominance of wrongs or rights ' - in re Nicaragua and the goons of Reagan, well obviously you are not familiar with the facts of the case .... those 'contras' funded by peddling drugs into US cities and selling arms to Iran etc, they weren't in the habit of risking their own precious skins in attacks on military targets, oh no ... what they would do, is find nicely undefended or lightly defended villages, they would sneak up in the middle of the night and put some rpg rounds into the school and the clinic, then machine-gun anybody who moved, then run away when defense appeared, which in many cases it didn't as the villagers were unarmed, so in that case they'd maybe kidnap some youths if they felt like it, maybe torture somebody for the fun of it, rape some women, maybe line up the men on the pretext of counting them and then machine-gun them, women too, whatever circumstances are much different here ' - you damn right they are amigo - we are canadian, we've heard the histories, we know our way about the world, and we're capable of defending ourselves against whatever threat comes at us, including but not limited to - armed US troops on our home soil
