Actually in London the rates are often £ (hey see the symbol!) an hour, which is very good.

Seems to me that on the whole there is much less interest in financial markets in the UK than in the US. Just to judge from TV coverage and headlines in newspapers. But that may be because of the limitations of what I get to read. Of course, all larger newsstands carry the European WSJ and the Financial Times. Though the other day I was at the New Globe theater and went looking for a FT, and found the headqaurters building for FT but none for sale!
