I think we can all relate to that. When you are out on a first date, and she says, "So tell me about yourself," most of us would not wish to have to mention this incident. Maybe on the fourth date, or so, when you know each other a little better. Who can blame the man?

The anti-death penalty, life without parole instead, advocates should take heed of this case, which tells us that that there is no such thing as the latter ... not with such kinder and gentler judges on the bench.

I'm surprised they even have to publish the proposed name change. In Washington, they don't. It's a simple procedure, and while the record is public, there's no notice of it unless the papers pick it up, which I've never seen done.

But I'm hardly surprised he wants the name change. Wouldn't you under those circumstances?
