Ben, doesn't 1x + evdo provide simultaneous voice and data capability as well? Not exactly, unlike in Rel A, 1x+DO can't run concurrently, unless you are willing to put parallel RF path into your chip, which I don't think that's the case. So I think in 1x+DO mode whenever you are making a voice call while the DO session is alive then you probably have to give your way up to the voice call and put the data session into dormancy. In Rel A you will be able to run both of them at the same time. Is cash and CAPEX strapped Sprint - who keeps its outbudget light by posing with costly, complex, phantom, evdv - one of the few carriers who care? That's what sprint is doing, it will use Rel C instead of A to fool some folks out there<ggg>
