after going bullish at the low SPX close on 7/23 #reply-17783764, i went bearish on the high SPX close on 8/22 #reply-17907873. pretty good for somebody who thinks TA is BS! maybe that's the secret: it works as long as you don't believe in it. of course, as proof of the secular bear market we're in, i received lots of responses to my bullish proclamation, and received none in response to my bearish proclamation. why? everybody's already long and there's nobody left to join the party. "men go mad in herds, but come to their senses one at a time." what does that mean? Darfot will explain all in good time...

now for some more prognostications, at least some of which will surely be wrong...

i think today's little upside blip on the QQQ is just a month-end jamjob by the mufus which will be mercilessly crushed by Darfot in the coming weeks, months, years, and (perhaps) decades. i expect SPX to break below 800 this year, and below 600 before the decade is out. as to QCOM, well, this is a family-oriented website and some might consider my predictions obscene, so best left unsaid.
