It's a little hard for me to get pumped up about a profession where the average member earns $2 million-plus a year ... and even the .196 hitters earn more in six months than many working men and women earn in five or six years. My concern is more focused on what effects a strike would have on stadium vendors, small businesses near ballparks, the men and women who drive the express buses to the games, the cab drivers, etc.
