mqurice:

Always enjoy reading your rants. Here's a thought, not well reasoned out yet, for your thoughtful perusal.

This weeks Business Week has an interesting article on the newly strained relations between Dubya and the Saudis.

Frankly, I think Dubya is using Iraq as a smokescreen. The target is Saudi Arabia.

They supplied 15 of the terrorists, money to Al Queda, money to the Palestinians, etc. We already have embargoed Iraq. Is it not now time to pinch off the real power in the mid-east? The guy with the real money??

Iraq has a military that will fight. But,Saudi Arabia has nothing-they couldn't drive Iraq out of Kuwait. I don't think Dubya is thinking embargo. He's thinking occupation.

What a boost to the US economy. We control the oil and the price thereof. We can then put the fear of Allah in Saddam. After all he was our ally against Iran and will probably shape -up if he's looking down the barrel of a gun aimed at him from the Saudi desert.

Help me. Where am I going wrong on this thinking??

Bye the way, would this approach help the growth of CDMA in the mid-east? World wide?

I think Business Week is on to something.
