However, what will happen is that the rank and file won't get options any more but the top folks will continue to get them, whether expensed or not.

FYI- in the last cc, Chambers stated that cisco along with msft intc and others ("the most successful companies") give less than 4% of outstanding stock options to senior management. The other 96% go to staff.
