The man could have been stoned? The man was never mentioned and in that part of the world women are still being stoned. You ever hear of a man being stoned for rape or adultery?

I said according to the law. Here are the quotes showing same:

Leviticus 20:10 "'If a man commits adultery with another man's wife--with the wife of his neighbor--both the adulterer and the adulteress must be put to death.

Deuteronomy 22:22 If a man is found sleeping with another man's wife, both the man who slept with her and the woman must die. You must purge the evil from Israel.

Could Jesus write?....he was not a learned man....

It is my belief that Jesus could write, and I say this because I think if He could read,(see Luke 4: 16-21) then He also could write. (Although I do not discount the fact that as part of the God-head three, He could have quoted all all the scripture anyway.) He may not have ever had need to write, though and He very well could have been just drawing figure 8s in the sand.

Then why did you challenge me with all those outrageous crimes against my family other than to defend capital punishment?

to show that you are not above the same feeling about it as the rest of us.

but he is not adverse to using it for political gain in a most reprehensible way.

can you prove President Bush ever used the death penalty for political gain?
