hawkmoon- you're smart and you make many good points. particularly this one: The UN must be reorganized so that only duly elected (via internationally recognized and monitored elections) governments have the right to vote in the general assembly. ...and the thoughts leading up to it. i agree. and that's the foremost important step so i'll drop any argument over the few where we differ. we'll negotiate them later. <sort of kidding> the nanotech stuff actually came from another thread and i was spoofing the fear addressed, imagined/projected/extrapolated by some scientists in the following articles: pcmag.com wired.com and... pcmag.com the subject and a couple of the articles were posted by lurqer, which is why he found my post to you so funny. no offense intended to you by either of us. i really didn't expect you to answer me with serious discussion. if you follow my posts you'll see that seriousness is not my forte. though i do have values and opinions that leak out moreso in my style than in platitudes. i don't engage in extended debate and would rather live and let live than kill and let kill. i tend to devote much more of my time to people with whom i agree and want to support and encourage than those i disagree with. i know my "style" is not acceptable to some people and it's why one particular debater has had me on permanent ignore for over a year. perhaps there are more than one. anyway, i thought i owed you an explanation since you probably don't know me and you appeared to take me seriously. namaste. -el polvo
