John,
fyi, Interactive Brokers execute pretty well when you move an account from other brokerage to them. I did that with my Etrade account, moved the whole thing: long/short positions, stocks, options, etc. to my existing IB account. In less than 10 business days I was all set and could see the right numbers of everything.

All you need to do is open an account, login, and fill the "External Transfer" form.
