I disagree that my post is a personal attack. Dan proposed a strategy for tradings semi's here. I pointed out why I disagreed. I addressed my post to Dan because he is the one that started the thread. Using your criteria, one might say that you personally attacked me for my post. The basis? That you disagreed with my post and mentioned me by name. Now how silly is that? Maybe you , Dan, Ed and others find this disruptive but I find it conducive to a frank debate and discussion of different trading styles. It is no secret that Ed amnd Dan have been promoting a "buy now beacuse they can't get much lower" strategy. I think that is very dangerous. Sure, make a buy and try to call the bottom, but, also have an exit strategy if you are wrong. Ron, I don't see my post as personal attacks. More, I think they are an invitation to debate our differences in opinion. I think we all would have been more enriched by your opinion on this subject now that you have heard two sides instead of your "personal" attack on me. I know I would have got more out of such a reply. Isn't that part of what these boards are all about? Do you have an opinion on the semi-conductors here? Any opinion on "stop losses"? Please recall that I did not say anything about not buying semi's here. Just that if you are going to sell in the rallies you are limited the gains but with out stop loss management you can have even more severe losses. Trading is all about balancing risk with reward. In my opinion, a good trader always establishes their risk before they make the trade. I think this current market has proven without a doubt that stocks can go lower than what we would ever imagine. Trade well, Joe
