TM - That's tricky business IMO -- while I don't have a problem with capital punishment in theory, I wish I could say that I believed the justice system was sound enough to mete it out properly.

To confine the debate to this particular context however, I don't think age should have much to do with it -- a dead victim is still a dead victim even if a 12 year-old-old pulled the trigger.

I know that a psychologist/psychiatrist would argue that a teenaged murderer is mentally incompetent by definition, but IMO you could say that about any murderer if that's how you account for why people commit criminal acts.

So, do I sound like a redneck, or like I'm running for office?
