I took her to say that some people picked up their marbles, whined about the thread, and left- saying they WOULDN'T be back. And then they came back. That is like saying a concert is going to suck, giving up your place in line, and then trying to come back and get your place back when you find out the band wasn't as bad as you thought. I guess it makes some people "Johnny Come Back Latelys". But not you. I don't recall you doing that. Of course there is nothing wrong with doing that- but if people find it amusing and mildly hypocritical, that would seem a natural response- imo.
