U.S. Technical Advisory Group Approves Two New Work Items August 2002 issue <snip> The U.S. TAG for ISO/TC 197 also overwhelmingly approved a New Work Item Proposal from Ned Stetson of Texaco Ovonic Hydrogen Systems for "Transportable gas storage devices, hydrogen absorbed in reversible metal hydride." This item was developed through the NHA Codes and Standards Working Group 2, Containers: Metal Hydrides. The U.S. TAG can now forward the proposal to ANSI requesting consideration by ISO/TC 197. Scope of proposed project: This project will develop standards for the safe design and use of transportable gas storage devices, valves and pressure relief devices, intended for use with a metal hydride, gaseous hydrogen storage system.
