One of the most lucrative is loaning stock to short sellers.

They pay nothing to borrow the stock themselves and receive the interest on the proceeds from the sale while the position is open.

Single stock futures put this income in jeopardy. A "short" position can be established with futures without borrowing anything. That's one reason there is resistance to them by the brokerages.

I figured transaction percentage would be up there, but I never thought the other would have been over 30%. I'm astounded!.
