Vt, nice call... you should have seen the amused look on my face when the XAU was exactly at the 70 level and Kinross was teetering between $3.24 and $3.26 on the Toronto Stock Exchange. It looked like a top and it felt like a top - my own senses were telling me to pull at least a third off the table but then here we are going into a long-weekend - and only Roebear knows how "long-weekends" throw me off... :)

I don't know... I've never been able to trade this sector worth a %#$@, but in all fairness it's probably has something to do the war on drugs, illiteracy, tax evasion, smokers and oh! Did I forget terror? There is just too much noise for me to properly day-trade.<ng> So in my own mind I've made the resolution to hold on until the end of September (not unlike what Crusty was saying earlier) and then I'll start going long on some oil patch plays.

It's really starting to look like a repeat of last year (or maybe even 1970?), barring non-systemic risk.
