The truth is we don't want to have to look very closely at the issue because it might cause us to second
guess our lifestyle and no one wants to have to do that.

When I look closely at the issue I see more and more uncertainty.

As for changing out lifestyle no one should be trying to force people to change their lifestyles unless the evidence is overwhelming and the threat is enormous. The evidence at this point is very underwhelming considering the complexities of global climate.

Tim, nature doesn't work like a Hollywood scifi thriller. By the time the evidence is overwhelming, it may well be too late.

Nature often gives us cues when things are not right.....droughts, severe floodings, etc. Those of us who use are brains know that it may not be best to farm without irrigation in an area that experiences recurrent drought or build in a flood plain. Those of us who don't pay attention usually end up broke and/or dead.

Now we are getting cues that something may be wrong with our weather on a global level. I plan to pay attention to those cues. It makes good sense even if they turn out to be wrong. And I intend to vote for people and legislation that, if need be, will force people to be more conservative in their consumption.
