Dan, I reread my reply to your post and for the life of me I can not see how it could be considered a personal attack.

You were discussing a strategy for buying a certain group of stocks and I said that I thought your strategy was flawed. Mainly it looked like it was a two steps back, one step forward approach. In my book that seldom works. I can't think of any study or professional trader that I have read that would profess to a system of adding to a losing trade and selling into the rallies in a bear market. Bear markets usually are evidenced by lower lows and lower highs. Look at this chart on the sox.

This is not a chart of a healthy industry. I also don't see any signs of strength. Many have been calling bottoms for over a year. What is there about this one that says it won't fail like all the others? Your argument in your support of a long strategy with technicals or fundamentals would be appreciated.

Joe
