William, AMD has their new next-gen 64-bit CPU (Opteron/aka "Hammer") coming out at the end of the year. It appears to be a serious threat, forcing Intel to possibly scrap their own 64-bit program and go instead with AMD's model (i.e. make the next-gen P4 into a 64-bit hack), and also potentially crimping Intel's server market share since rumors are Dell and HP and others are looking at AMD.
