You could call that "reporting" someone, but I specified--no, I emphasized--that I wanted no punishment or suspension. (Because I took a certain pride in not having ever done that.) I've said many times on SI that I don't report people. Is that "evidence"? I even told the story of having my life indirectly threatened because a poster I had no problems with at all knew I was a friend of some people who were insulting "the honor of [his] family" by using his last name as a verb, and I was new and foolish enough to have my real name and email address on my profile, so he wrote a threat to his enemies to do something to me, because he could find me. A gun was mentioned. I didn't report him. (The person he PM'd the threat to did, though, and on March 23, 1996, he was terminated. That, btw, means I probably joined in late '95 or Jan of '96. So I'm going on 7 years here.) I wrote a sarcastic PM to Jeff about a decision he'd made, and you might call that a "vote" of sorts; it wasn't a report because it contained no new information, only a certain amount of ridicule. I've made fun of the poor fellow a couple of times. No "reports," though. I've never since I joined reported anything about a poster that wasn't already known, turned anyone in for a violation of the TOU, or asked for anyone to be suspended. I've written to SI Admin in support of people, though. That's my best recollection about my record the last almost-seven years. It isn't beyond the realm of possibility that an occasion has slipped my mind, I suppose. (I don't want to find myself arguing about what the meaning of "report" is.) I assume you'll believe me.
