I belong to a Men's Group in which the meeting starts with 30 minutes of drumming. After that, everyone is ready to listen, talk, or cry as the need may be. The guy with the talking stick talks; everyone else listens. The talking stick is made out of a fragment of cactus like those you see in the southwest made up as canes in the tourist shops. It's light for burdens, strong for support, broken like our hearts, and mended like our spirits. We don't talk politics, which is good, because we probably do not agree.
