X, while I am not a woman, I know that you have been wounded here in the most devastating way that a mother ever has to endure. That conscienceless allegation, made without a scintilla of merit, tells ever so much more the person who hurled it than about you. If I were you, I would let it stand as a marker of how low it is possible to sink in making public comments about others. I would not waste breath defending yourself. I am sure you have far more important and better things to do at this moment or any other.
