There is zero support for an invasion -- even in the US there is no consensus. >> Approx 70% of the US people favor invasion of Iraq. << If we go in in the next six months we will be utterly alone on this one, and countries all over the world will denounce us. >> Much like in Afghanistan following Sept 11. We had no real, meaningful support. None whatsoever. And we kicked @ss there. We can do Iraq and get it done quickly without Europe or Australia's kangaroos or wallabies. We don't need their tea to do it. Most Iraqis hate Saddam with a passion. And have for years. They will hand us their guns and cheer us on. You obviously have not done your homework here. You have been eating too much of what the media is feeding you. Do you think Iraqis are so ignorant and enjoy living under severe oppression? Good gosh, talk to some Iraqis !! GST, you don't understand how power flows in the world. Whether you or I like it or not is immaterial. To understand it, however, is very important. The panzies in Europe have benefitted VASTLY from our great victory over the savage, evil Al Quada in Afghanistan. The Europeans giggle secretly in their beds at night knowing what they gained from the US's risk and sacrifice in Afghanistan. Nothing new there. Check last century. We keep doing it for them. The Europeans are lazy and they do not value what little freedom they do still have. Yet who can blame them? They no longer rate in the world. So why should they bother? Even in the aggregate, other than ethnic ties to America, what role do they have? They are weak and are not a force to be dealt with in world affairs. It's understood.
