augie -- I have to assume your post was meant in jest, but I have to tell you that reading it, it's sure not clear. You might think it's obviously meant as humor but A) none of us know you that well B) the attitude you present in that post is one that actually exists (and is, of course, wildly insulting to the world at large as well as (hopefully) most Americans). I think you need make the intent of that post CRYSTAL clear with a follow-up, ASAP. Just my take, the freep

I said Bush can't go it alone -- not because of military force -- but for the backlash it would create. There are still some moderate Arabs who only mildly hate us because of our one-sided approach to the ME. Our entry there without the support of other nations would be seen as imperialistic. The more I think about it, I think Bush et al are concerned about Saudia Arabia -- think about how bad that would be for the world were Saudia Arabia to fall into "adventerous" islamic militants who didn't even care for their own economic well-being ... I agree with others who have called your comments regarding Canadians in poor taste. where are you from anway?
