I've been looking at buying a vacation home for over 2 years...haven't really devoted much time, and besides, I've been waiting patiently for the crash. Mercifully, the prices haven't really climbed...

Anyone has any ideas about Lake Tahoe and around, even places like Hawaii - how will the property market be affected in areas of vacation homes and vacation rental properties...?

I keep thinking those definitely whould fall sharply, more sharply than the residential own-homes....but hasn't happened so far...and in case of Hawaii, people have been expecting that forever...

Maybe one ought to just close their eyes and jump in anyway since the current rates are great
