I had my first twelve beer night ever at the Van Halen "Running With The Devil" concert...Toledo, OH.

edit: In retrospect my story isn't nearly as compelling as yours or Jorj's. -g-

well heck, your examples are just too obvious. Living here in L.A., one doesn't really expect civilized behavior from law enforcement.

Back in my punk and industrial music days, you could go in a mosh pit and if you fell down, you could count on someone picking you up. I saw a guy get deliberately kicked when he went down on Saturday.

Actually, I can remember that happening at a Fear concert too, so I am probably just letting my age perspective slip in here.

I do have to admit though, that I have a different perspective on the Fleetwood Mac thing. I saw Fleetwood Mac at the US Festival in....1982 or 1983....can't remember exactly. Three day event where we were camping out and were pretty much as grundgy and dirty as we could be. Coincidentally, the US festivals were the first music events at the location where the Ozzfest was held.

After being in the dirt for three days and being hungry and dehydrated and then having to wait for Stevie Nicks change her outfit for the 15th time and then have her say how much she felt like she was a part of us, I was pretty much ready to start a riot myself.
