Haim, what you suggest appears to me more like armageddon than a stroke of genius. If you think the ME will turn Democratic when there has never been a history of Democracy there, I think you're ignoring reality. Democracy comes with literacy and education. With half the population in that part of the world being denied access to basic education, it is a bit optimistic to believe they can just drop everything and adopt Westernized governments. Besides, there is a difference being a world leader and being a heavy-handed, Imperialistic country that wants to impose its will on the world in a superpower vacuum. When you say those countries will fall like dominoes you could be right. However, the dominoes would end up being extreme, Islamic fundamentalist governments even more hostile to the West and the US. Look at Algeria, for example. They had democratically elected Islamic fundamentalists. The West didn't like it, and has blocked the establishment of the elected majority. See, you can't have it both ways. You can't say you want democracy when all you really want is the Right Kind of Democracy.

Haim, I take it from your view, you will not hesitate to be the first casualty for this so called "US economic expansion". OK, perhaps not you, how about your brother, son, your grandson, your nephew??....Ah.. but then in this days and age, your sister, daughter, niece will do just as nicely as pawns for the "best investment for the US". If your loved ones share your same view, let you and them be the first to fight to your deaths for this BS war. I'll be DAMNED if I'll send my loved ones to their deaths for the sakes of filling some GOD DAMN Fkin oil magnates deep pockets! And the disregard of human lives wasted for the purpose sickens me. <All the ME will turn democratic including Iran and ALL arab world will be Pro American> You're dreaming if you really think you can turn generations of Islamic fundamentals into pro American by bullying them over night. And how Democratic is it to force Democracy down their throat? Don't degrade the idealism of Democracy with that hypocrisy. My apology to Shack, AA and board for the above OT comment.
