"79% said they believe Hussein supports the al-Qaeda terrorist group that launched the Sept. 11 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon" This appears to be major false reason for support on attacking Iraq. From what I have read Iraq had nothing to do with al-Qaeda and Sept. 11. In fact they are ideologically opposed to al-Qaeda's Islamic fundamentalism. The al-Qaeda related activity in Iraq is in the very northern part of what was Iraq not under the control of Saddam's government.
