What was Clinton suppose to do? Invade Afghanistan? You *know* what the Republicans response to that would have been ("a coverup, but what about Monica" etc).

As the threat from Al Qaeda escalated, the Clinton Administration DID draw up a plan for such an action. However, they were voted out of office before it could be executed. They passed it on to the Bush Administration, which promptly shelved it. Bush was too busy having powwows with the Taliban at his Texas ranch.

But, this is irrelevant. Sandintoes brings all this up to deflect from the issues we were discussing, since she always wants to avoid any substantive discussion.
