Thanks for the article. I recently rode Amtrak for a mini-vacation and "spoke" to Julie several times. It worked fairly well in a quiet environment like your home, but the background noise outside (at the train station) really messed up the speech recognition. Also, "Julie" didn't always have the latest train information, so there's some tweaking to do with their system. But overall it was fairly efficient at getting me the information I wanted without human intervention.
