I haven't seen the American press pick up the story of Syria's moving Al Qaeda guys into Ein al Hilweh camp in Lebanon, nor of Mohammed Atta's several trips to Syria. Have you?

With Al Qaeda relying on so much gold, if the central banks really do have great manipulative power over gold prices, it seems like knocking $100/oz off the price could effectively deliver a major blow to Al Qaida's financing system, reducing their assets by nearly 1/3rd.
