Corn stoves! Seems that most are discontinued for direct heating sources... just not enough demand! at about $3000 a pop and high maintenance (cleaning), seems that most with white Beeber carpet in the room just couldn't take that chore of feeding and vacuuming ash! There are still quite a few around though, the earth stove won over most that live in the wooded areas.... save the wealthier, they mostly have gone to geothermal heat pump..... goood 55' water around here either with gas as a back up or the 'ol earth stove. The neighbor has air to air, but it will not keep the house heated in below 0 conditions....still hard to beat a corn stove on the coldest days, I think I'd go for a ride in a Porshe with insulated covers on!
Ethonol will be a going thing if they can get the gov't conversion, Ken knows more about the Calif. standards coming up, VERY tough on cars and truckers! Zero tolerance on emissions coming up soon..... Soy a big player here on bio-fuel, more so than gas alternative.... Some new ideas and genetic break throughs starting to show real promise! 'shape
