Just been reviewing Gerry Rough's criticism of G Edwards book "The Creature from Jekyll Island"

We don’t know their names, but they neither profited from the Bank, nor did they ever have any voice in the operations of the Bank, which are the two points that the conspiracy theorists try to make in the first place.

What is he babbling about? Says who??

So let me see. The country was effectively bankcrupt from 50yrs of war. Nothing unusual there.. we know wars do cost a lot of money. So... I can open a bank with practically zero money and start making "loans". The loans can be charged interest therefore I am making money on nothing. Nobody climbed on the bandwagon. Oh yes... how ridiculous these silly conspiracy people are -lol-

People spend most of their lives trying to better themselves, the only people who don't believe in conspiricies are the Masons.

Conspiracy theorists are quick to point out this fact as proof of a conspiracy. ‘If it were not a conspiracy, then why the secrecy surrounding this group?’ so the argument would go. The fact of the matter is that indeed we do know who the founders were. The man given the historical credit for the founding of the Bank of England is none other than that of William Paterson himself, as stated earlier

What horseshit. Griffin does say clearly that the BoE was founded by William Paterson who represented a group of "interested parties".

Is the BoE paying this guy to write this stuff??

Yep, I just love to open a Bank and start printing my own money and making "loans" too. Why can't everyone do it <ggg>
