good summary for what ails stock market today (beats CNBC)

just saw an inane interview of two jerkballs on CNBC
one thought two factors weighed down stocks today
1. the professionals returning from vacation
2. upcoming 9/11 anniversary has investors worried

how shallow
how about multitude of factors pointing to recession?
the article I responded to here got many factors on target
but the picture being painted is one of at least continued pressure on stocks earnings, and most likely a resumption of the recession

I thought the ISM report was the killer today
we are slipping toward a recession
the VW's are still in the trees
it wont take much to shake them out, and onto investors
a few fell out today, but hundreds more remain
this is only the start of a severe nasty autumn
in the next several weeks, we will see a return to reality
but it will only be the next chapter

any WallStreet fools still calling late July the bottom?
a retest of Dow 7800 might fail this time around
retests have often been confused with "successful retest"
I dont think successful this time
