Another reason not to carry a gun: Lawyers Weekly just reported on a $400,000 vertict against a gun owner whose gun was used to commit a murder. The man had failed to safeguard the gun adequately. The man's own mentally ill adult son used the gun to kill his (the son's) married brother. The plaintiff was the brother's window. Talk about a family tragedy. But the verdict also points out another danger of having a gun in the house. It can be very bad for your financial health.
