Tim, one last time: I read one of the two other sources that you provided. It said essentially the same thing that the source I provided earlier which is that GM was not alone in fukking over the streetcar/trolley system. I knew that......that does not change the fact that GM was one of the major culprits.......and they were the culprit with malicious intent. The municipalities were trying to keep fares down to appease their constituencies. GM worked to eliminate the street cars in order to sell more buses and cars.

What am I thinking.......you probably don't consider that a bad thing but rather a very positive thing........making corp. America stronger and richer at anyone's expense. Probably you like sprawl and dirty air too. Why I am spending time discussing these issues when you don't see them as a problem. Very stupid of me......later!
