There is great detail in this short piece

Only problem is, so much of Wanniski's great detail is total crap. How can you be helped when so much of what he says is simply contrary to fact? I don't mean debatable, I mean just plain wrong.

Too many howlers.

Unfortunately Wanninski loses his already-low
credibility with some real howlers.

- Saddam never used poison gas? Tell that to a few hundred
thousand dead Kurds and Iranians. Fully documented by
the UN and a number of NGOs - just as fully documented
as the jewish holocaust (which Wanniski probably
also denies).

- Use Farrahken as "an embassy to Islam"? Huh, does
Wanninski even know that Farrahken is not even a
muslim and is, in fact, considered a infidel weirdo
by the Islamic world? (Nation Of Islam isn't Islamic -
it's simply a cult that appropriated the
words Islam and Allah. Try finding their notions of
race war and black superiority in the Qu'ran. ).

Talk about not even getting the most basic facts right!
When someone is that far off base at the start, the
rest of his argument loses a certain impact.
