Its beyond just the bursting of the bubble. Edit there is also the issue of them being only a bit socialist so that they are not really good examples of how socialism works.

Marx defined socialism as the state that exists between capitalism and communism.......a hybrid containing elements of both isms. Most European countries fit that bill.

Their wealth is created by capitalism, and while they have enough socialism to hurt they don't have enough to really f up the system>

I see........socialism is bad because it keeps people from dying of hunger or from a root canal. Capitalism is good because it makes people hungry and allows them to die from root canals. How come socialism sounds better?
