I think what is happening is that houses take longer to sell and people are pulling there homes off the market after a few weeks. The decline in prices will come once people are forced to sell or banks have to foreclose. I believe that is going to happen. It is already happening
in the expensive homes but the 500 K homes have held up.
That will change if the pace off layoffs accelerate.
