All that gold and art was auctioned off and siphoned off in the States. Damn few Jews got a dime. None in fact. Probably a lot got embezzled by the odd army officer. Let there be no mistake, where the army can take it will. It knows a good steal when it sees it. The way the Nazis had it figured, the Jews probably stole it in the first place, so they were just stealing it back. The the US got a hold of it and that was the last anybody ever heard of it. Now If I got a hold of it, I would at least split it a few co-operative jews 50-50. That is because I am a big hearted guy. :) Seems like they did the same thing to the Emperor Maxmillian treasure that was discovered by Doc Noss at Vittorio Peak in NM. Made it into a missile range, siphoned it off, and let the owners back in to find nothing, The the discoveror gets his head blown off by a partner "supplied" to him, who ends up doing zero jail time. Nice move. Never let the government get its hand on anything. One of these days they will acknowledge that we are as crooked as Mexico and as dominant and narrow minded as the Pharoahs. I would call that "the awakening of self-awareness of American Culture." But I am not holding my breath for it. EC<:-}

Most of the Taliban treasury was kept in gold when the militia ruled Afghanistan, and taxes were often collected in gold. Just before the Taliban and al Qaeda were driven from Afghanistan last year, the two groups shipped large amounts of gold to Dubai, and from there to other safe havens, according to U.S., European and Arab officials. Senior U.S. intelligence officials said they are investigating the information about the new gold shipments and had opened a case on the matter but had no further comment. "We know they are looking at new sources of revenue and are finding new ways to raise and move funds to where they are accessible," a U.S. official said.
