Hi Nadine Carroll; Re: "odd, I must have missed those posts [where Bilow noted that Kuwait could be assumed to be in favor of an attack on Iraq]."

Yes, that you would miss that is a matter of selective perception. When the search facility is back I'll drag them out for you.

Re: "Only three days ago you were tearing about den beste's suggestions that Kuwait was cooperating."

Posts from three days ago I don't need the search facility for. Here's my post: (It's from yesterday, not 3 days ago, but I assume that this is what you're talking about. If not, give me a link.)

Bilow, September 2, 2002
That Kuwait's condemnation is muted is simply because the Kuwaitis aren't so sure that they'd mind seeing a war that eliminated Saddam. They still remember being invaded so they're still pissed off and are more willing to accept the blowback. #reply-17942713

Since then what has changed? Has Kuwait given official approval of an attack on Iraq? Well according to your sources they have, and now Kuwait is supporting an attack.

Let's try and avoid the "selective perception" problem by finding out exactly what Kuwait itself thinks about an attack on Iraq according to themselves. I already know what you think they think, why not ask them themselves? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! LOL!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Fortunately, I don't have to rely on SI search facilities to find out that KUNA is Kuwait's big news service, and that Kuwait is not in favor of attacking Iraq:

Here, read the latest Kuwaiti news yourself and find the one where Kuwait comes out in favor of an attack on Iraq. Maybe it's in there, but it's swamped by articles clearly indicating the opposite:

Hi Nadine Carroll; Re: "Odd, I must have missed those posts." [i.e. Bilow posts to the effect that Kuwait would be in favor of an attack on Iraq.] ... How convenient about the search facility. giggle. snort."

It seems that the search facility is working again, at least enough to find a couple of my posts on the subject:

Bilow, February 20, 2002
Pissing off the world by making a unilateral attack against Iraq is not going to make the world safer for the US. It might make the world safer for Israel or Kuwait, but it does nothing for us. Absolutely nothing. #reply-17090729

Bilow, April 25, 2002
The last US invasion of Iraq was with the help and through the territory of Saudi Arabia. While it is not impossible to invade Iraq through another country, I figure that it isn't going to happen. The second best choice is Kuwait, but I doubt that Kuwait will allow it without Saudi Arabia signing on. The problem for the Kuwaitis is that they need Saudi Arabia too much as an ally. #reply-17385441

Re: "Then there were all those Kuwaiti diplomatic pronouncements of opposition that you cited."

This is kind of funny. Within three days of Kuwait's being misquoted about supporting a US attack on Iraq, you use this fact to suggest that I have selective perception on the subject: "Yah, sure, Carl it's all selective perception, that's all any of us brings to the table. So go selectively perceive this:
Kuwait Breaks Ranks on Saddam
" #reply-17943314

But by the time you make your post, Kuwait has already denied the quote. (See #reply-17948489 which you still have made no comment about. I guess if you close your eyes, maybe it goes away.)

You were right (well, at least partly right) for nearly 30 hours. That must have felt really good. It's not every day that your invisible friends tell you something that the grownups believe. Oh well.
