Like any administration would know that all these white collar boyz were cooking the books? And like a fool W went ahead with his DISASTEROUS tax cuts BASED ON THIS CRAP! And now the economy is looking at a complete meltdown with NO revenues and HUGE expenditures..... doesn't quite sound like anything but a REAGAN DEPRESSION coming. CC

The Washington leadership, especially the Bush Crime Family doesn't care. They know they can create whatever lies they wish, and get away with it, with paid-off media complicity. At least for a while ... That was the one beauty of Clinton's presidency. Even with animalistic attacks by GOP, at least some issues got aired, even if smothered by GOP-sponsored pornography, they weren't completely suppressed. Clinton felt he had to respond. This guy's handlers figger it's better to stop all impromptu press conferences, lest he say something revealing of either stupidity or complicity. Even "puppeteer" Cheney's getting his own self in hot water, with his arrogant "I can put all of you under martial law right now" attitude.
