I believe it is for the same reason that the muslims all resented America when we went over to help Saudi Arabia against Iraq. Seem to remember that had alot to do with Osama going after us. Makes no sense to me, but I guess it's in their Koran which they all seem to adhere to. Guess the average person over there would rather have had Saddam as their leader, rather than have infidels defile their homeland.Maybe that's why so many of the 9-11 terrorist were from Saudi Arabia. In any event, I'm not an apologist for them, the only point I was making is in my first post. Our support of Israel has caused us to make enemies of nearly the whole mid east, and I don't see how that has ever been in our best interest. Saddam, and Iraq, would be a much easier issue if Saddam could not use the Israel/palestine problem to garner support from his neighbors ( even those which he was going after last time!)
