Liz -- if there was a shred of evidence of any connection you would be hearing about it every day from the administration. This has nothing to do with 7/11. It is a separate agenda item -- not to say it is unimportant, it is just not directly connected. That is why the world is waiting for the US to step forward and make a case. The US position is "we don't need to make a case, we are going to take this guy out -- now are you for us or against us"? Unfortunately most of the world does not find this compelling and actively wonders whether or not the US wants to directly control the Iraqi oil fields. Whatever the validity of this view of US motivation, it is far easier to convince the world that we are after the oil than it is to make the case that we are attacking Iraq in self-defense.

DNA?

The prosecutors had a heroin addict as their star witness. During a deposition he was high. Before the trial began. he died of an overdose.

The prosecuters had a pretty weak case. But they did have Mark Furman's book and public opinion on their side.
